BRAC supports Bandarban flood victims

BRAC stands next to people affected by flash floods. BRAC's Disaster Risk Management Programme, implemented by BRAC, Bandarban Sadar and in collaboration with BRAC Bank, organized a 7-day food and essential commodities assistance package distribution event.

Bandarban 300 Constituency MP Satching Pru Jeri said,"You have to build yourself, not with public-private donations, while distributing support packets of daily necessities to those affected by the sudden flood in Bandarban at the Muktamanch of Bandarban organized by BRAC yesterday morning. The responsibility of one's family should focus on one's own work and earn money and live happily with the family.

He also said that there has been a lot of damage due to flash floods in Bandarban, and soon after the news was spread, the government as well as non-governmental organizations stood by with relief assistance to the victims.
We have to increase our confidence in ourselves and accelerate the development of the country along with our own development.

On behalf of BRAC, 200 families affected by flash floods in Bandarban municipal area were given seven-day food and daily necessities support packets and 1000 rupees in cash. Md.Farhad Hossain, Senior Program Manager of BRAN, attended the event as the chief guest. 

Police Inspector Khairul Islam, Bandarban Press Club President Aminul Islam Bachchu, BRAC Unit Incharge Anup Mahajan and District Co-Auditor Sushant Kumar Biswas was present.
