Members of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force rescued a six-year-old boy who went missing from Panchagarh Modern Sadar Hospital on Sunday and reunited him with his mother after nearly three hours of searching.
The child, Md Leduain, went missing from the hospital premises around noon while Ansar members PC Md Ataur Rahman and Sukumar were on duty near the main gate.
After receiving information about the missing child, Ansar personnel immediately launched a search across the hospital grounds.
Following nearly three hours of continuous efforts, they found the child and, after necessary verification in the presence of hospital authorities, safely handed him over to his mother.
The mother became emotional after being reunited with her son and expressed gratitude to the Ansar members. Patients, relatives and visitors at the hospital also praised their efforts.
The civil surgeon, hospital superintendent and other officials thanked the Ansar personnel for their prompt response and humanitarian service.
