Daily Industry pays tribute to journalist Ayub Ali

The sudden passing of journalist Ayub Ali, the Chatogram correspondent of The Daily Industry, has sent waves of grief across the media fraternity. The veteran journalist, who had dedicated decades to reporting impactful news, passed away in the early hours of Monday, March 2, while undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital. He was 58 years old.

Ayub Ali leaves behind his parents, wife, a son, two daughters, and a wide circle of relatives, colleagues, and admirers who remember him for his professionalism, dedication, and unwavering commitment to journalism. His funeral prayers were held on Tuesday, March 3, at the Shovon Dandi Abahana Imtiaz Molla Jame Mosque in Potia, Chattogram, following the Dhuhr prayers, and he was laid to rest with full respect and dignity.

The Daily Industry expressed deep sorrow over the loss of its correspondent. In an official statement, the newspaper prayed for the salvation of his departed soul, offering heartfelt condolences to his grieving family. The publication described Ayub Ali as a journalist who not only reported facts but also brought depth and perspective to his stories, leaving a lasting impact on readers and the community alike.
Dr. Enayet Karim, Editor of The Daily Industry, said, “Ayub Ali was a consummate professional. He approached every assignment with dedication and integrity. I pray for his peace and for strength for his family during this difficult time.”

Kabirul Islam, a senior official in the IT section of The Daily Industry, expressed his personal shock at the news. “The sudden death of Ayub Ali is truly heartbreaking,” Islam said. “He was a colleague, a friend, and a guiding presence for many in the newsroom. May Allah ensure his peace and salvation.”
Colleagues and fellow journalists across Chattogram remember Ayub Ali for his tireless commitment to the profession. Reza, President of the Chattogram Press Club, and General Secretary Debdulal Bhowmik jointly expressed their condolences, stating, “Ayub Ali’s departure is a great loss to the journalistic fraternity. We convey our deepest sympathy to his family and friends and pray for his eternal peace.”

Journalists who worked alongside Ayub Ali recall his mentoring role, particularly for younger reporters. He was known for guiding new journalists on ethics, fact-checking, and maintaining objectivity.
