-Keeping this theme in mind, National Legal Aid Day-2026 was celebrated in Gopalganj with due dignity and solemnity.
On Tuesday (April 28), at 9:30 am, Gopalganj District Legal Aid Committee Chairman, Senior District Judge Mohammad Shamsul Haque inaugurated the day by releasing colorful balloons and inaugurating the Legal Aid Fair and Voluntary Blood Donation Program stalls by cutting the ribbon. Later, a colorful procession started from the court premises, circled the main roads of the city and ended at the District Shilpakala Academy premises. Later, the District Legal Aid Committee's learned lawyer Adv. Abdul Hannan Beg was awarded the honorary crest and honorarium in the male category and Adv. Chameli Akhter in the female category as the best panel lawyer. The speakers discussed how legal aid can be reached at the doorsteps of the people. The speakers emphasized on providing free and fast services to the people through legal, alternative dispute resolution and legal advice in cases.
