The Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) on Monday honoured Md. Bacchu Rahman, son of an enlisted Ansar member, for securing the top position in the Police Cadre in the final results of the 47th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination.
A reception was held at the Jashore District Ansar and VDP Office, where Bacchu Rahman, who has been recommended for appointment as an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), was presented with flowers and a commemorative crest in recognition of his achievement.
Jashore District Commandant and Deputy Director Mazharul Islam Bhuiyan handed over the honour and congratulated the newly recommended police officer.
Speaking at the event, the district commandant said the achievement was not only a matter of pride for Bacchu Rahman's family but also for every member of the Bangladesh Ansar and VDP. He expressed hope that the accomplishment would inspire Ansar personnel and their children to pursue excellence and dedicate themselves to public service.
Receiving the honour, Bacchu Rahman credited his parents for his success, particularly his father, an enlisted member of the Bangladesh Ansar and VDP.
He said his father's hard work, honesty, discipline and sacrifices had been his greatest source of inspiration, while the unwavering support of his family and the blessings of Almighty Allah enabled him to achieve the milestone.
The Bangladesh Ansar and VDP wished Bacchu Rahman continued success, good health and a distinguished career, saying his achievement reflects the values of integrity, perseverance, discipline and patriotism and would inspire the country's young generation to serve the nation with dedication.
