The humanitarian members of Ansar, a part of Bangladesh Ansar Bahini, set an example of unique humanity by standing by a lonely and helpless old woman. On July 14, an old beggar named Farida Begum (70) was admitted to the 250-bed General Hospital in Nilphamari under an unknown name. When no one was there next to the seriously ill woman, the Ansar members on duty came forward as a ray of hope.
Ansar members Ansarul Islam and PC Md. Aminur Islam, who were in charge of security at the hospital, came to know about the matter in the evening. They immediately inquired about Farida Begum and, on the advice of the doctor, got an X-ray examination done on their own initiative. When the examination found that the old woman's leg was broken, she was quickly taken to the surgery department and a plaster was arranged.
These Ansar members are currently providing regular treatment, care and necessary care to the old woman who is currently undergoing treatment. Their responsible and sensitive role in maintaining law and order in government hospitals has garnered widespread praise from doctors on duty and general service recipients.
This incident of standing by people in danger has once again proven that the Ansar force is dedicated to responsible behavior and humanity beyond professionalism.
