Two suspected thieves were arrested by Bangladesh Ansar personnel after allegedly stealing a mobile phone from a patient at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Sunday morning.
The incident occurred around 6:00 am at the hospital's new building. The victim, Shahid, who had come from Noakhali for treatment, raised an alarm after his phone was stolen.
Responding immediately, on-duty Ansar members Toufik and Titu Hossain chased and detained Arif Hossain, 27. During questioning, Arif admitted handing the stolen phone to his alleged accomplice, Rikti Akter, 21.
Based on his information, Ansar members arrested Rikti and recovered the stolen mobile phone from her possession. The suspects, along with the recovered phone, were handed over to the DMCH police outpost for further legal action.
