The Pirojpur Press Club organized a day-long journalism training workshop on Saturday, providing participants with practical guidance on key aspects of professional journalism. Held from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, the workshop covered topics including the fundamentals of journalism, writing human-interest reports and feature stories, relations between journalists and the police, and journalistic ethics. The event began with a welcome address by Mahamud Hossain, convener of the training workshop. Greetings were delivered by Parikshit Chowdhury, Deputy Director of the Pirojpur District Information Office, Saifuddin Al Madani, Information Officer, and Jagat Priya Das, agriculturist and freelance journalist. The workshop was formally inaugurated by District Council Administrator Principal Alamgir Hossain. During the training sessions, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Operations) Md. Ziaur Rahman spoke on fostering constructive relations between police and journalists, while Additional District Magistrate Tanzila Kabir Tropa discussed ethics and professional standards in journalism. The closing ceremony was chaired by Pirojpur Press Club President S. M. Rezaul Islam Shamim and moderated by acting General Secretary and Somoy Television reporter Ziaul Haque Zia. Deputy Commissioner Abu Sayeed attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest and distributed certificates among the participants.
President of the Pirojpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gazi Wahiduzzaman Lovelu attended the event as a special guest. The workshop concluded with closing remarks by Press Club President S. M. Rezaul Islam Shamim, who declared the training program a success.
