Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party's media platform, Prantik Kanthoshor, has announced the names of 10 winners of its FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Goal Prediction Competition.
A total of 6,435 entries were submitted within the stipulated time. Among the 96 participants who correctly predicted both the final match result and the total number of goals, 10 winners were selected through a transparent digital lottery.
The winners were announced at a ceremony held on Tuesday at the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party Headquarters Auditorium in Dhaka. Additional Director General of the force, Brigadier General Mamunur Rashid, attended the event as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Brigadier General Rashid said the competition was organized to encourage positive engagement among followers and promote constructive participation on social media. He added that Prantik Kanthoshor would continue to organize similar creative and interactive initiatives in the future.
The competition was announced through the official Facebook page of Prantik Kanthoshor, inviting football fans to predict the outcome and total goals of the FIFA World Cup final. Participants from both Bangladesh and abroad took part in the contest.
The 10 winners will receive attractive prizes, including a smartphone, a smart TV, an electric oven, an induction cooker, a smartwatch, a blender, a power bank, a Bluetooth microphone, AirPods, and a neckband.
The organizers said the prizes will be formally handed over to the winners soon. They also emphasized that Prantik Kanthoshor aims to strengthen public engagement and foster positive communication between the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party and the general public through such innovative initiatives.
Director (Media Cell) and Commandant (AGB) Md. Ayub Ali attended the event as the special guest, while other officials, staff members, and Media Cell personnel were also present.
