The 24-day Advanced Basic Training (Men and Women, Phase-1) for the Town Defence Party (TDP) was successfully concluded across four zones of Dhaka. A total of 800 trainees received certificates at colorful closing ceremonies held on Saturday.
Special awards were presented to the first, second, and third position holders, while all participants took an oath to serve the nation and its people. The graduation ceremony created a festive atmosphere among TDP members of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force, encouraging their continued role in maintaining law and order and supporting community development.
The closing ceremonies were held at designated training centers in Demra and Motijheel (East Zone), Chawkbazar and Kotwali (South Zone), Pallabi and Sher-e-Bangla Nagar (West Zone), and Dakshinkhan and Gulshan (North Zone).
Director of Dhaka Metropolitan Ansar (DMA), Md. Asaduzzaman Gani, attended the ceremonies both in person and virtually as the chief guest, in the presence of zonal commanders.
Each zone trained 100 male and 100 female participants. The newly trained TDP members are expected to play an important role in strengthening public safety and security across the capital. Training and travel allowances will be transferred automatically to the trainees' mobile banking accounts through the designated software system.
