Members of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force recovered a passenger’s lost handbag and laptop from the parking area of Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram on Sunday.
The items were found at around 10am by Shift-in-Charge APC Al Mamun while he was patrolling the airport parking area.
The Ansar members immediately informed the Civil Aviation Authority and began efforts to locate the owner. After repeated announcements over the airport’s public-address system, the owner, identified as passenger Md Sakib, was traced.
The handbag and laptop were handed back to Sakib intact.
The passenger expressed his gratitude to the Ansar members for recovering and returning his valuable belongings.
The incident highlighted the Ansar force’s role not only in securing key installations but also in providing responsible and public-oriented services to passengers at the airport.
