The Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (Ansar-VDP) women’s baseball team is set to travel to Malaysia to compete in the Malaysia Women’s Baseball Championship 2026, scheduled to begin on August 12.
On Sunday, August 9, Ansar-VDP Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud met with the players at the force headquarters and wished the team success. He encouraged the athletes to represent Bangladesh with patriotism and uphold the country’s honour on the international stage.
The championship will be held at the BFM National Baseball Field of Universiti Putra Malaysia in Selangor. The Bangladesh Ansar-VDP women’s baseball team will stay in Malaysia from August 10 to 17.
Teams from Bangladesh, Malaysia, Pakistan and Indonesia will compete in the tournament.
The Ansar-VDP sports teams have a strong record of success in both national and international competitions. The women’s baseball team is now aiming to continue that tradition and deliver a strong performance in Malaysia.
