Professor Al-Amin of the Department of Accounting at the University of Dhaka (DU) has been appointed as the acting dean of the university’s Faculty of Business Studies.
DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A.B.M. Obaidul Islam made the appointment on Sunday, August 30, 2026, in accordance with Section 17(2) of the First Statute of the University of Dhaka Order, 1973.
According to the appointment order, Professor Al-Amin will assume charge as acting dean from September 3, 2026. His tenure will continue for a maximum of 90 days or until the elected dean joins office, whichever occurs earlier.
Professor Al-Amin is a faculty member of the Department of Accounting at the University of Dhaka.
