Walton Plaza, the country’s largest electronics product sales and service network, has stepped forward with a new initiative to help locate missing people more quickly. In this regard, Walton Plaza, in collaboration with missing-person alert platform MUN Alert, has launched the ‘Missing Persons Broadcast’ initiative. Under the initiative, photos and essential information of verified missing persons will be regularly displayed on TV screens at more than 700 Walton Plaza outlets across the country.
In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Walton Plaza and MUN Alert at Walton Corporate Office in the capital on Monday (September 28, 2026). Mohammad Rayhan, Managing Director of Walton Plaza, and Sadat Rahman, President of Zero Missing Foundation, the founding organization of MUN Alert, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.
Among others, Zoheb Ahmed, Chief Marketing Officer of Walton; Masud Parvez, Chief Executive Officer of creative partner Pop5, and officials from the organizations concerned were present at the signing ceremony.
Speaking at the event, Walton Plaza’s Managing Director Mohammad Rayhan said, “Walton Plaza has not confined its activities to product sales and services; rather, it actively participates in various social and humanitarian initiatives for the welfare of the people. As part of that commitment, we have joined hands with MUN Alert to help disseminate information about missing persons quickly and extensively among the public.”
He said that under the initiative, people will be able to visit their nearest Walton Plaza to view the latest information on missing persons. When necessary, they will also be able to report a missing person or follow up on an existing report through MUN Alert’s helpline 13219 and its web portal.
Walton’s Chief Marketing Officer Zoheb Ahmed said, “A large number of people visit Walton Plaza outlets across the country every day. Using this extensive network and the TV screens at our official outlets to disseminate information about missing persons is part of our social responsibility. We believe this initiative will play an effective role in helping locate missing people quickly and supporting their families.”
MUN Alert founder Sadat Rahman said, “The wider the reach of verified information, the greater the possibility of finding a missing person. Walton Plaza’s extensive nationwide network will help take missing-person information to many places that would otherwise be difficult for us to reach on our own. We are delighted to have Walton Plaza by our side in this humanitarian initiative.”
