Dhaka, 11 November 2025: myGov has launched e-ticketing at the National Botanical Garden in Mirpur, Dhaka. Environment, Forest and Climate Change Secretary Dr. Farhina Ahmed inaugurated the service by purchasing a ticket online.
Visitors can now buy tickets from anywhere through eticketing.mygov.bd and pay digitally. They may purchase in advance and enter on their chosen day.
At the event, Dr. Farhina said e-ticketing will remove queues, ensure transparent record-keeping, and support research and planning with reliable visitor data. She directed officials to bring other Forest Department tourist sites onto the platform in phases.
Md. Abdur Rofiq, Project Director (Joint Secretary) of a2i, stated that a2i is ready to provide the technical support necessary to expand digital ticketing across tourist sites.
Chair of the event Md. Amir Hosain Chowdhury, Chief Conservator of Forests, thanked a2i and said the expansion of e-ticketing will boost interest in eco-tourism. Among those present were a2i’s Programme Management Lead Abdullah Al Fahim, Cluster Head of Digital Product Management–1 (Deputy Secretary) Fazlul Zahid Pavel, Chief Technology Adviser Mohammad Masudur Rahman and officials from the ministry, the Forest Department, and a2i.
a2i’s myGov is digitizing citizen-centric government services. Its e-ticketing first went live at Lalbagh Fort under the Department of Archaeology on 30 June 2025. Since then, more than 200,000 tickets have been sold online there, generating over Tk 6.3 million in government revenue. The myGov team is working to roll out e-ticketing to additional sites managed by the Department of Archaeology, the Forest Department, and other agencies.
