Milad and prayers were held in Banaripara for the recovery of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. Banaripara Upazila Bachatra Dal convener Rubel Hossain Howlader presided over the event and the general secretary of the municipal Chhatra Dal Roni Khan moderated the event.

Bangladesh Nationalist Party Banaripara Upazila branch president Md. Shah Alam Mia, general secretary Riaz Uddin Ahmed Mridha, municipal BNP senior vice president Abdus Salam and Chhatra Dal general secretary along with leaders of BNP and its affiliate organizations were present as special guests.  

Sharfuddin Ahmed Santu, a member of the National Executive Committee and a candidate from Barisal 2 constituency of BNP in the upcoming national elections, joined the prayer virtually. The prayer sought trhe health of Begum Khaleda Zia, as well as the welfare and prosperity of the country and the nation.
