A 4-member delegation led by Dawud Ciccioglu, Managing Director of Turkish publishing house ‘Sozlar Publication’, paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam at his office today, Sunday, July 26, 2026.
During the meeting, they discussed the ongoing joint education and research activities between Dhaka University and various universities in Turkey. The delegation members invited the VC to participate in the ‘13th International Badiuzzaman Symposium’ titled ‘Quranic Solutions to Global Crises’ to be held in Turkey next October. The symposium will be organized by ‘Istanbul Foundation for Knowledge and Culture’.
Later, they presented the VC with a book on the interpretation of the Holy Quran, 'Risalaye Nur Samagra', translated by prominent Islamic thinker Badiuzzaman Saeed Nursi and published by Sozlar Publications. The VC thanked the guests for the invitation to visit Turkey and the book gift.
