E-learning to boost engineers’ climate-resilient infrastructure skills

The inception of the Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Center (CRILIC) under the Climate Resilient Infrastructure Mainstreaming Project (CRIMP) implemented under the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) on e-learning content development was held on Monday, May 11 at the seminar room of LGED headquarters.

The workshop was presided over by Md. Azharul Islam, Additional Chief Engineer of LGED and Director of CRILIC. Md. Belal Hossain, Chief Engineer of LGED was present as the chief guest at the workshop.

 In his inaugural speech, he said that e-learning will serve as a timely platform to enhance the skills of engineers in building modern and climate resilient infrastructure. Through this inception workshop, we want to create quality content that will also train marginal workers in digital methods.

Md. Imran Hossain, Md. Mizanur Rahman, Content Developer, and AGM Md. Shariful Islam of the consulting firm Addy Soft Limited, who were assigned for the assignment in the workshop, presented their presentations through PowerPoint.

The workshop was attended by LGED Additional Chief Engineer, Abul Bashed Mohammad Rezaul Bari, Syeda Asma Khatun, Molla Mizanur Rahman, Kazi Saiful Kabir, Md. Wahiduzzaman, Md. Golam Maula, Supervising Engineer Md. Akhtar Hossain, Project Director, Executive Engineer, Senior Assistant Engineer, Assistant Engineer and Project Director of Crimp-Crylic Md. Abdul Khalek, Executive Engineer of CRILIC Md. Latif Hossain and Executive Engineer Fatema Ismat Ara, Assistant Engineer Arpan Pal and Expert Consultants of CRILIC Md. Abdul Noor, Md. Shahidul Islam, Md. Sadequr Rahman Bhuiyan, Md. Masudur Rahman and Syed Mahbub Ahsan were present.
