State Minister for Land and Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Barrister Mir Md. Helal Uddin MP has announced a strict stance against crime and terrorism to maintain the peaceful environment of Hathazari.
He said, “No matter who the terrorist is, no matter which party he belongs to, no one will be given any concession.”He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the development work of Farhadabad Chhota Kanchanpur Government Primary School and Sabuj Tila Road initiated by the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief on Tuesday afternoon. The State Minister said, “Hathazari is a peaceful town. We have to maintain this trend.
The convenience of the people is our main goal. In view of the long-standing complaints and demands of the locals, a police outpost will be set up in Udalia soon.”He further said, “To keep the society beautiful and safe, action must be taken against criminals and harmful elements of the society. Strict action will be taken against those who create obstacles in this work.
No excuses will be accepted.”At the meeting chaired by Upazila Executive Officer Md. Abdullah Al Mumin, the State Minister said, “People elect public representatives not to show off their power, but to serve the people. You must always work as a servant of the people.
When the arrogance of power comes to your head, the consequences are not good.”
He said, “The source of BNP’s power is the people. You have to work in the interest of the people. As per Tarique Rahman’s instructions, leaders and activists must be active to keep their respective areas clean every Saturday.
If you love the party, you must also follow the party’s instructions.”
At that time, he expressed gratitude to the locals for electing him with the highest vote in the history of Hathazari.Hathazari Upazila BNP Convener Alhaj Nur Mohammad, Municipality BNP Convener Md. Zakir Hossain, Upazila BNP Member Secretary Md. Gias Uddin Chairman, Farhadabad Union BNP Convener Rahmatullah Chowdhury, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Niaz Morshed, Municipality Assistant Engineer Salma Khatun, Union Acting Chairman Md. Shafiul Azam and other leaders at various levels were present at the program.
In addition, the program inaugurated the bridge and culvert construction project on rural roads under the Disaster Management Department.
Earlier in the morning, the State Minister inaugurated various development activities including distribution of VGF rice among the poor and helpless people in Hathazari Municipality, installation of electric lights on various roads and carpeting roads.
