Seminar on women's progress held in Srinagar

A seminar titled “Women’s Progress: Education and Career” was organized in Srinagar Upazila. The chief guest of the seminar was District Administrator and learned District Magistrate Syeda Nurmahal Ashrafi. The special guests were Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Mr. Sharif Ullah, Associate Professor, Department of Geography and Environment, Jagannath University, Dr. Shabnam Sharmin Luna. The seminar was presided over by the Upazila Executive Officer, Srinagar, Mr. Hasibur Rahman, and was also attended by Assistant Commissioner (Land), Srinagar, Mr. Golam Rabbani Sohel, students of various schools and colleges of the upazila, teachers and officials of related organizations.

On the occasion of the visit of the Deputy Commissioner, Munshiganj to Srinagar Upazila, the seminar and discussion titled 'Women's Progress: Education and Career' highlighted the importance of ensuring sustainable development through increasing women's education, skills and confidence.

In his speech as the chief guest, the Deputy Commissioner urged the students to firmly say 'no' to child marriage and drugs. He said that a student should develop a mindset of contributing not only to his own success, but also to the welfare of his family, society, country and nation. He urged the students to become competent citizens by getting good education and to play a role in creating an enlightened and educated generation by becoming educated mothers in the future.

Other speakers present at the seminar also gave directional speeches to the students. They said that there is no alternative to hard work, perseverance, discipline and moral values ​​to achieve success in life. The speakers urged the students to pursue education with confidence, positive attitude and concentration and expressed their hope to develop themselves as competent, skilled and ideal citizens for the welfare of the country and the nation in the future.

The lively participation of the students in the seminar made the program more meaningful and created new enthusiasm among them about the importance of women empowerment and education.
