A farewell reception was held in honor of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Barishal Range, Md. Mostafizur Rahman, following his transfer.
The ceremony took place on Tuesday at the conference room of the Barishal Range Office, where senior police officials, colleagues, and district police chiefs gathered to pay tribute to the outgoing DIG's distinguished service.
Among those present were Commandant of the Barishal Range Reserve Force (RRF) and Additional DIG Md. Abdus Salam Rimon, Additional DIG (Administration and Finance) Md. Saifullah Bin Anwar, Additional DIG (Crime and Operations) Md. Humayun Kabir, Superintendent of Police of the Barishal Range Office Kazi Md. Shoaib, and Runa Laila.
Superintendents of Police from Barishal, Jhalokathi, Patuakhali, Pirojpur, Barguna, and Bhola districts, along with other senior officers of the Barishal Range Office, also attended the event.
Speakers at the farewell ceremony highlighted DIG Mostafizur Rahman's colorful and distinguished professional career, praising his leadership, professionalism, and dedication to strengthening policing across the Barishal Range.
Colleagues recalled his significant contributions to law enforcement and expressed their appreciation for his guidance and commitment during his tenure. Many became emotional while sharing their memories, reflecting the respect and admiration he earned throughout his service.
The outgoing DIG thanked his colleagues for their cooperation and support, expressing gratitude for the affection and goodwill he received during his time in the Barishal Range. He also wished continued success for the officers and personnel serving in the region.
