Police have arrested a suspected drug dealer with 400 yaba tablets in Kishoreganj.
The suspect, identified as Jahangir, was arrested during an anti-drug operation in the Nilganj area of Maizkhapan union under Kishoreganj Sadar upazila on Sunday night.
Police said a team from Kishoreganj Model Police Station conducted the operation as part of regular anti-drug drives. Jahangir was searched during the operation, and 400 yaba tablets were recovered from his possession.
Confirming the arrest, Kishoreganj Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Abul Kalam Bhuiyan said a case had been filed against Jahangir under the Narcotics Control Act.
He was produced before a court on Monday morning.
