The upazila-level final and prize distribution ceremony of the Primary School Gold Cup Football Tournament (boys and girls) was held in Sundarganj upazila.
The event was organized by the Upazila Administration and the Upazila Primary Education Office. The final matches were held at Sundarganj Abdul Majid Government High School ground.
In the boys' category, Sundarganj Model Government Primary School defeated Nayamabad Government Primary School 3-1 in a tiebreaker to become champions.
In the girls' category, Chhaparhati Government Primary School beat Kishamat Dhapadanga Government Primary School 2-0 to win the title.
The prize distribution ceremony was presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Iffat Jahan Tuli. Local Member of Parliament Md. Majedur Rahman attended as the chief guest and delivered remarks.
Among others present were Upazila BNP Convener Md. Babul Ahmed, Member Secretary Md. Mahmudul Islam Pramanik, Jamaat leader Md. Shahidul Islam Manju, Secretary General Md. Chhamidul Islam, municipal leaders, police officials, and education officers.
The guests handed over prizes to the winners and runners-up. The tournament was inaugurated earlier with a ceremonial kickoff.
