The victim's family is suffering from fear and insecurity about getting justice in the murder case of Bithika Sadhu. Other family members are suffering from extreme fear. The victim's family told the media this.

The family is suffering from fear and insecurity about getting justice in the murder case of Bithika Sadhu (51), a permanent resident and voter of Ward No. 8 of Labsa Union Parishad No. 13 of Satkhira Sadar Upazila: It is known that extreme fear prevails in the area. On the night of April 26, the dead body of the victim Bithika Sadhu was recovered from an abandoned pond next to her house adjacent to the road in front of her house. At that time, multiple heavy injury marks were seen on her head and forehead. Later, after receiving information, the police reached the spot.

The victim's family and eyewitnesses also said that senior police officers and members of various law enforcement agencies were present at the scene at that time. Later, Satkhira Sadar Police Station filed FIR No. 46 dated 27/04/2026 under Section 312/201/34 PC in this regard.

Then, based on the complaint, a team of journalists went to several places in the first phase (May 10 and 11) and the second phase (May 18 and 19) to conduct an investigative report. They visited the scene of the incident, Magura village and surrounding villages, Boubazar business establishments, Labsa Union Parishad No. 13, the crematorium where she was cremated, Satkhira Sadar Hospital, the morgue, the investigating officer of the case at Sadar Police Station, the office of the Satkhira District Superintendent of Police, and the office of the Khulna Range DIG. The information and facts obtained were that Bithika Sadhu had been running the grocery shop left by her husband for almost two years after the death of her late husband Bishwa Nath Sadhu. The deceased Bithika Sadhu had a good relationship with everyone in the area. Her sudden and tragic death has caused extreme panic among the area and the family. Many people told reporters that this brutal murder may have been committed mainly because of stopping drug dealers from hanging out near the house and asking people around for money they owed. They hope that the authorities concerned will look into the matter.

Rita Sadhu (27), the younger daughter of Bithika Sadhu, said, "My mother never behaved badly with anyone. When she asked for groceries, she gave them the rest. I want the ruthless killers of my mother to be brought to justice just as they are killing my mother by torturing her.

Kartik Sadhu, the only son of Bithika Sadhu, told reporters that my mother lent money to many people. Maybe there was a dispute with someone about returning the money. Besides, my mother has no other enemies. The police have already arrested 5 suspects in this incident. The police are trying very hard, you journalists should also cooperate with us. I want the killers of my mother to be brought to justice.

Mohammad Saminur Islam Dablu, who worked as an assistant at Bithika Sadhu's shop, said, "Even though I am a Muslim, I knew my aunt like a mother. My aunt loved me with utmost affection like a child. Every night, I would drop my aunt off at home and go to my own house. I was not present on the day of the incident as there were two religious festivals in the area, so the killers killed my aunt on this occasion. I demand the maximum punishment for bringing the criminals to justice. The family of the deceased, along with the villagers of Magura, have sought the immediate intervention of the Honorable Prime Minister to bring the murderers to justice and give them the maximum punishment.

Regarding the murder, Abdul Alim, the repeatedly elected UP Chairman of Labsa Union No. 13, told reporters that he was killed very brutally. The police have already arrested some people. Let the criminals be brought to justice. Although the UP Chairman said this on his mobile phone, he did not agree to give any statement in front of the camera.

In this regard, Satkhira Sadar Police Station Police Inspector (Operations) and the investigating officer of the case, Sushanta Ghosh, said, "The murder is being investigated very seriously. The police have already arrested 5 people on suspicion of involvement in the incident. The investigation is ongoing, hopefully the case will be solved soon. We will be able to bring the real criminals under the law."
