A discussion meeting and prize-giving ceremony was held at Government Brojomohun College (BM College) in Barishal on Sunday to mark Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH).
The programme was organised by BM College at 10am at the Teachers' Conference Room of the Shaheed Md Touhidur Rahman Library Building.
Barishal Divisional Commissioner Khalil Ahmed attended the event as the chief guest. Deputy Inspector General of Police of Barishal Range Md Zulfikar Ali Haider and Barishal Metropolitan Police Commissioner Abu Raihan Muhammad Saleh were present as special guests.
The programme was presided over by BM College Principal Professor Dr Sheikh Md Tajul Islam.
Professor Md Sultan Mahmud Riaz of the Department of Social Work served as the convener of the programme.
The speakers discussed the significance of Eid-e-Miladunnabi and highlighted the teachings and values associated with the life and message of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Following the discussion, the chief guest and special guests distributed prizes among the winners of various competitions organised to mark the occasion.
