Bangladesh police will once again change their uniform, returning to a previous design while retaining khaki-colored trousers, Home Affairs Adviser Salahuddin Ahmed announced on Monday (May 4).
Speaking at a press briefing at the Secretariat, he said the decision was made after police personnel raised objections to the current uniform and submitted requests for changes to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
He added that the upper part of the uniform will remain similar to the earlier design used by metropolitan and nationwide police forces, while khaki pants will be reintroduced.
The minister also commented on law and order, saying many top criminals released on bail after August 5 are known to the authorities and their cases are under judicial process. He said police are investigating recent criminal activities and that those involved in killings or other crimes will be brought under the law.
