On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha-2026, Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force has organized an Eid gift distribution program for its benefiting members and employees. The closing ceremony of this initiative, which was taken with the aim of strengthening the welfare of the members and mutual harmony, was held at the force headquarters in Khilgaon, Dhaka on Saturday (23 May 2026). The Director General of the force, Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud, was present as the chief guest at the program.
Under this initiative, Eid gifts were distributed to a total of 28,365 people, including benefiting members and 4th class employees from 64 districts of the country. The gift packets included polau rice, semai, semolina, powdered milk, noodles, sugar, and various types of cooking spices. This program has been organized to create an atmosphere of joy and harmony among the members and employees ahead of the holy Eid.
In his speech at the event, the Director General said, “We have to move forward with a well-organized and strong determination to implement the Reform Plan 2035. Under no circumstances should we deviate from our set goals. Now is not the time to look back; rather, we have to move forward with more confidence by utilizing the possibilities ahead.”
He also said that our capabilities are gradually increasing, and this progress will be accelerated manifold through collective efforts and dedication. To achieve this goal, every member of the force will have to work responsibly, diligently and self-dedicatedly.
Officers and employees of various ranks, including Deputy Directors General, were also present at the event.
Such welfare-oriented initiatives are a bright reflection of the organization's commitment, compassion and human values towards the members and employees of the force. According to those concerned, this gift distribution program organized on the occasion of the holy Eid will not only share the joy of the festival among the members, but will also further strengthen mutual camaraderie, motivation, and enthusiasm for work, which will play a positive role in increasing the overall morale, unity, and efficiency of the force.
