The first meeting of the Board of Directors of the Shippers' Council of Bangladesh (SCB) for the 2026-27 term was held on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, at 4pm at the organisation's conference room in Dhanmondi, Dhaka. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Md Rezaul Karim. At the meeting, the board approved the minutes of the previous meeting and the accounts statement. The board also decided to participate in the upcoming Ocean Impact Summit (OIS), which is scheduled to be held in Bali, Indonesia, on 8 and 9 June 2026. In addition, the meeting approved a salary increase for SCB employees and discussed the purchase of office space or a building for the organisation.
Senior Vice-Chairman Syed Md Bakhtiar, Vice-Chairman Ataur Rahman Khan, and directors Ganesh Chandra Saha, Arzu Rahman Bhuiyan, Mohammed Nurussafa Mazumder, Ziaul Islam, K M Arifuzzaman and Sorowar Alam also attended the meeting.
