Sherpur, Bangladesh: State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief M. Iqbal Hossain, MP, has said limited government funding remains a major challenge to implementing development projects, expressing hope that more visible improvements can be achieved in the coming year.
Speaking to journalists on Tuesday after inspecting recently constructed roads in the Holdigram, Nowkuchi, and Gandhigaon areas of Jhenaigati Upazila, the minister said, "We want to do everything, but our hands are tied. We do not have sufficient funds. We will do as much as possible with the allocation we have. The country now has a democratic government. If not this year, we hope to deliver more impressive development projects next year."
